Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, ‘Jawan,’ has generated substantial buzz, and there are high expectations for its box office performance. In a unique move, the veteran actor went bald for the first time in his career to ensure the film’s success.
Trade analyst Akshaye Rathi predicts that ‘Jawan’ could make a remarkable start by raking in a minimum of Rs 75 crore in net box office collections in India on its opening day, including both Hindi and Tamil versions. This projection reflects the strong anticipation among audiences.
Ashish Saksena, COO of Cinemas at BookMyShow, emphasized the film’s broad appeal, citing its mix of action, drama, and thrills, along with the captivating storytelling by director Atlee Kumar and the enchanting music by Anirudh Ravichander. Shah Rukh Khan’s charismatic presence is expected to be a significant draw, as he takes on diverse roles that promise to captivate audiences.
While ‘Jawan’ is already being hailed as a potential box office hit, the big question is how it will perform over its first weekend, despite its Thursday release. Rathi offers an ambitious yet intriguing estimate of around Rs 400 crore in net box office collections globally over the four-day period, encompassing India (including Hindi and regional languages), Telugu, Tamil, and overseas markets. This projection underscores the widespread excitement surrounding the film’s release.
